This paper analyzes the institutional and political structures for the management and delivery of development assistance in countries who are members of the OECD's Development Assistance Committee (DAC). The authors also evaluate whether any of the institutional or political models examined are associated with better performance than others in terms of development cooperation as well as the delivery of aid quantity and quality.
