This paper argues that in order to counter North Korea's increased nuclear missile threat, South Korea, Japan and the US need to bring in an anti-ballistic Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile system. The author also discusses the resistance in Seoul against the adoption of this system as well as the reasons why Chinese objections to the THAAD system's adoption in South Korea are unmerited.
