This essay discusses the financial restructuring of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) that was proposed by Management in 2014. The authors argue that this restructuring is a useful step for the bank, possibly even an essential one, and look at how it could lead to future reforms in the ADB and other multilateral development banks.
