This article discusses what actions and measures are available to address the quality of health care coverage and humanitarian health assistance available within UN peacekeeping missions. In particular, the author suggests that one key measure that could lead to improved health outcomes of peacekeeping would be to focus more attention on the relationship between the health of peacekeepers and the availability of health care assistance to civilians in emergency settings.
