Ahead of the 2015 Climate Conference in Paris, this brief addresses Africa's position on global climate finance. According to the author, developing countries want to see a tangible commitment from developed countries to providing the financing necessary to combat the effects of climate change. Stressing the importance of innovation and credibility, the author looks at what Africa can do to secure the predictability of this financing, both collectively through its negotiation body, the AGN, and domestically, through transparent commitment and action.
