This brief describes 1) how Rwanda incorporates climate resilience into its government policies and development programs, and 2) the example it thus provides for other developing countries that are trying to attract international climate funding. To support these general themes, the brief's author reviews the frameworks and institutions Rwanda has established to encourage efficient, reliable and transparent governance, including an institution specifically centered on climate funding. Indeed, the latter platform is designed to strengthen stakeholder cooperation on climate-related issues and thereby encourage the financing of a diverse array of projects.
