This brief examines Norway’s economic relationships with each of the BRICS countries. In doing so, the authors review the economic performance of each of the BRICS countries, noting their economy size relative to their neighbors as well as the extent to which each of the economies has integrated into the world economy. They then inspect economic cooperation between Norway and the BRICS by looking at specific indicators, such as export and import levels, trade balance, trade goods, and Norwegian versus international foreign direct investments.
