This report covers 1) recent Oromia protests in Ethiopia; 2) the violence being perpetrated by Fulani herdsmen in Southeastern Nigeria; 3) a decline in overall African protest activities in April 2016; and 4) a concomitant rise in voter registration protests in South Africa. The report also includes a special feature on the seemingly intractable political crisis in Burundi.
