This paper analyzes the costs, risks and benefits of implementing and verifying arms control agreements for the US. The author takes into account generic costs, costs for technical equipment, research and development as well as implementation costs. The paper further contains cost projections for implementing pending arms control agreements, which have been proliferating in number since the end of the Cold War.
