This paper discusses transatlantic relations after the 11 September 2001 attacks. It focuses on the diplomatic quarrel arising from disagreements about US Iraq policy and its "war on terrorism." The author argues that the neoconservative ideology based foreign policy has cost the US much goodwill, and that a pragmatic approach would do much better in advancing US interests.
