This paper examines the issue of missile defense and European security. The study stresses the urgency of developing a clear European policy toward the new US administration's determination to set up a missile defense system. The authors hope to generate a debate that will lead to policy initiatives that help mitigate the possible negative impact of a missile defense system and exploit its benefits for European security.
