This paper examines European and trans-Atlantic defense-industrial strategy. The study analyzes if and how an intensified trans-Atlantic approach to defense research and development (R&D) and procurement will develop or not. The implications for hard-pressed European defense industries that fail to gain business access to US defense assets is also discussed.
