This paper discusses the multi-ethnic history of Estonia and examines the problems of ethnic integration and cooperation in the country since the disintegration of the Soviet Union. The Estonian government's integration strategy as well as the role of the national education system are both analyzed. The paper further assesses the general impact of minority politics in Estonia and also details the specific role of the media in the process.
