This final report describes the activities and findings of the Kosovo Standing Technical Work Group training workshop on regional integration in the European Union and the Western Balkans. The workshop aimed to increase awareness of the different dimensions of integration in the EU, discuss the applicability of the EU model for the Western Balkans and explore the implications of current EU approaches to regional integration in this area, especially for Kosovo. Participants identified ways of modernizing and increasing Kosovo’s capacity to play a more active and successful role in regional cooperation, integration and development and priority areas, including ending Kosovo’s isolation (especially in political, geographic, and economic terms) and providing the mechanisms for its integration into and cooperation with both the Western Balkans and Europe as an entity of equal standing.
