This report examines state and development of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s economy and the prevailing negative investment climate. The paper concentrates on specific difficulties from the point of view of the entrepreneur, as emerged in interviews with over 50 private businessmen, both foreign and Bosnian. From these interviews the paper identifies measures which, in the view of the private sector, would encourage business activity. Accordingly, this report looks at the investment record to date and suggests ways to improve it.
