This report addresses the political records of the Bosnian-Serb Republika Srbska (RS) since the implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord in 1995. The paper introduces Dayton’s basic regulations as well as the development of RS since 1995. Subsequently, the paper reviews the results of RS elections, discusses the policy of the ruling Serb Democratic Party (SDS) and explores the future of RS before this background. Doing so, the paper focuses on cooperation with the International Court of Justice in The Hague, policies against minority return and ethnic violence. The paper calls for zero tolerance toward RS and strict political conditionality.
