This paper discusses a possible verification process for a future Fissile Material Cutoff Treaty. The author offers an overview of general principles underlying the verfication process and offers definitions of different materials and material categories. She also explains the different verification activities that must be conducted at facilities and describes the major methods of verification. The paper concludes by discussing possible problems of verification.
