This paper examines ways of conflict resolution in European multicultural urban societies with a focus on mediation. The authors set out basic ideas on mediation in disputes between individuals and the community. They also document the methods and content of mediation training and the organizational set-up for a community mediation scheme in Frankfurt, Germany.
