This report assesses the impact of political changes in China for the US-China relationship. The paper recommends that the US pursues a strategy focused on the integration of China into the global community and argues that such an approach will best encourage China to act in a way consistent with US interests and international norms. The report concludes with a series of recommendations aimed to reinforce efforts to deepen US-Chinese cooperation.
