Publication

This paper discusses the EU foreign policy philosophy of effective multilateralism. The paper considers the reinforcement of the UN battle groups Multinational Standby High Readiness Brigade (SHIRBRIG) as a tool to strengthen the UN’s capacity and authority to maintain international order. The author concludes with a set of policy recommendations to the EU and the UN.
