This publication assesses US foreign policy in the Greater Middle East and explores the possibilities for a peaceful settlement of the Middle East powers. The first chapter calls upon Washington to work for a grand bargain between the US and Iran, and Israel and Palestine. The second one argues that attempts to isolate political Islam only foster radicalization and exacerbates the dangerous collision between the West and the Islamic world. The final author similarly draws a black picture of US foreign policy in Iraq by arguing that the Taliban in Afghanistan and al-Qaida are on the rise.
