This publication outlines how to reach the education goals related UN Millennium Development Goal, which stated that it is a world commitment to ensure that every child in every country will complete primary school by 2015 and that girls will be enrolled at the same rates as boys in primary, secondary and post-secondary education—ideally by 2005 and certainly by 2015. The authors argue that reaching the goals requires money, visionary political leadership in the rich world and a willingness to move well beyond business as usual in many developing countries.
