This manual assesses the impact of landmines at the community level and provides a training tool for organizations to improve their analytical capacity. The manual also develops methods for the conduct of demining, other components of humanitarian mine action, humanitarian assistance as well as for development projects more generally. The author explains how to gather data through a variety of methods, including group and individual interviews, surveys, observation and reviews of existing literature.
