This paper states that the foundations of a peaceful world ultimately depend on achieving domestic civil peace in the countries of the world, a ‘global civil peace.’ The authors argue for a unified perspective on international action to reduce violence and emphasize that achieving a global civil peace rests on both social justice and economic well-being.
