The seminar was a collaborative effort between the Royal Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway and the Norwegian Initiative on Small Arms Transfers. The purpose of the expert seminar was to elaborate concrete proposals on how to address the negative impacts of small-arms proliferation and violence on sustainable development within the implementation process of the UN Programme of Action to prevent, combat and eradicate the illicit trade in small arms and light weapons in all its aspects.
