This paper explores the concept of risk as a meeting place of human and technical value and underscores the modes and limits for the transmission of ethical values between natural scientific evaluation and human consequences. The author examines if technical and ethical values are commensurate, what the scope and extent of their commensurability is and whether the ethical transformation of risk can be modeled and standardized.
