Given China’s growing economic and strategic stature, this brief examines the case for stronger cooperation between Canada and the PRC. It concludes that the Asian power’s impressive growth trajectory (in terms of both innovation and economic development) justifies the pursuit of a Sino-Canadian trade pact that would generate sizeable economic gains for both countries.
