This issue of the Disarmament Forum discusses regional security issues in Central Asia. The authors examine disarmament activities, border and natural resource issues, small arms stockpiles and sources of internal instability and external conflict in the region. The issue looks at how external influences have affected the inharmonious drives among Central Asian states to compete or cooperate in order to resolve their security challenges.
