This study features an in-depth analysis of second generation structural reforms and deregulation in three essential Turkish infrastructure sectors, namely telecommunications, energy and transport. The authors conduct a gap analysis regarding the level of regulatory harmonization in these key infrastructure sectors and also examine some of the shortcomings in terms of regulatory harmonization. The study further looks at the areas that have a bearing on economic productivity in order to uncover the linkages between EU acquis adoption, regulatory good governance and productivity growth.
