This paper provides an analysis of the 2008 general elections in Pakistan. The authors examine the political trends resulting from the elections and discuss the success of the pro-democratic forces. The paper studies the post-election influence and position of both the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and President Pervez Musharraf.
