This paper provides a transcript of a December 2006 conference on the collapse of the Soviet Union. The speakers offer their perspectives on the end of the Cold War and the events that surrounded it in the late 1980s and early 1990s. The audience then asks a number of questions regarding the Soviet Union, its breakup and the US response to it, which are answered by the speakers.
