This report constitutes the migration and diaspora component of the Diagnostic Trade Integration Study (DTIS) conducted in Cape Verde as part of the Integrated Framework for Trade-Related Technical Assistance to least-developed countries (IF). The author provides information on the IF as a multi-agency, multi-donor program that assists the least-developed countries (LDCs) to help expand their participation in the global economy, whereby enhancing their economic growth and poverty-reduction strategies. The paper looks specifically at the policy challenges facing Cape Verde with regard to migration development and diaspora contributions.
