The publication summarizes the views of participants who attended four sessions on national sovereignty and border control in connection with globalization. The debates focused on border protection policy and what constitutes legitimate sovereignty in three areas; namely humanitarian intervention, national security and the international economic system. Recommendations endorsed by participants at the end of the sessions are outlined in the report.
