The publication examines voter opinion toward the Israeli-Palestinian conflict following the ceasefire in 2005. The report argues that after two closely held elections, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict was not decisive in determining how people voted. The author analyzes the factors that influenced the voting behavior of participants in the Palestinian Territories and Israel and the subsequent reordering of priorities. The report concludes that the elections results signaled mutual disengagement in terms of resuming peace negotiations.
