This report refers to consultations with the Cape Verdean diaspora that took place in March 2008. The consultations were a part of a study of Cape Verdean migration and diaspora, aimed at finding ways to foster the contributions of migration and the existing diaspora to reducing poverty and increasing employment among Cape Verdeans. Further consultations with Cape Verdeans in the diaspora complement additional consultations with government officials, private-sector representatives and nongovernmental organizations in Cape Verde.
