This paper discusses the market oriented agricultural advisory services (MOAAS) which respond to the needs of farmers and other value chain actors as they adapt to market demands. It presents findings from several case studies of field experience and argues that MOAAS are one of the services needed to help small-scale players develop capacity to meet market demands and be able to take advantage of market opportunities.
