This paper examines the young generation's commitment to democracy in Sub-Saharan Africa, and compares it to that of the older generation. It finds that differences are minimal, as both groups exhibit strong support for democracy. The authors find, however, that differences in political behavior do exist: Youth voting patterns and political participation rates as well as trust in political institutions lags behind that of older generations.
