This paper explores Zimbabwean perceptions of the economy and political climate in 2004. The authors contrast the results with survey data collected in 1999 and examine changes in public opinion over a five-year span. Among the findings, the authors cite the political deadlock between the two main parties as a source of overwhelming frustration among Zimbabweans.
