This brief discusses the prospects for a new Asian cooperation architecture in which India has a salient voice. The author discusses some of the advantages India has to offer, such as its democratic ideals, as well as some of its setbacks, for example its limited power relative to its larger neighbor, China. The author argues that many questions remain unanswered for India's regional engagement practices and that the country should cement any forward steps in its strong domestic fundamentals.
