This paper discusses appropriate rapid appraisal methods regarding the seasonal labor migration in rural areas. It presents a survey conducted in Nepal with the purpose of testing the methodology using the data to gain an overview of migration patterns and dynamics. It concludes that the data validation exercise produced encouraging results and lists other important areas for further investigation that have emerged from this study.
