Publication

This report presents the findings of surveys conducted in September 2001 in Botswana, Ghana, Lesotho, Malawi, Mali, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The report presents cross-country perceptions on the topics including democracy, economy, governance, civil society and citizenship. It offers a preliminary overview of the national survey results and catalogs and describes the data. The interpretation of results is kept at a minimum and the data is presented in a way that is open to analysis.
