This paper highlights the opportunities and challenges relating to the 7th India-ASEAN summit. From India's perspective three sets of issues, namely economic, security and environmental issues, are important. Furthermore, the authors expect the summit to provide opportunity for both India and ASEAN to improve their market share and investment opportunities in a period of global recession.
