This paper uses the knowledge capital model to compare the influence of skills on manufacturing and service on foreign investment in Singapore. The authors outline the theory and methodology behind the model and use it to statistically determine factors affecting inbound and outbound manufacturing and services investment between Singapore and a sample of industrialized and developing countries.
