This policy brief offers insights into Switzerland's security policy based on a brief survey of the country's global and regional environment. It discusses the conceptual scope of security policy, important elements of the underlying strategy, implications for planning the necessary security policy capabilities, and the challenges involved in reforming the strategic leadership.
