This report assesses political and economic conditions in Ghana. The authors use public opinion surveys of September 2002 to measure the extent to which democracy and market reforms are taking root and to ascertain citizen's views about current political and economic developments. The key findings of the survey reflect public perceptions and priorities. The report concludes with a brief discussion on Ghana’s prospects for democracy and development.
