This book is a revised and updated version of the Guide to International Mine Action Standards (IMAS) released in 2006, and is intended to explain the purpose of the IMAS and the requirements of the different standards in a brief manner. It contains nine new and 13 amended IMAS. This publication presents an overview of the IMAS, covering procurement, training and accreditation as well as land release, mine clearance and safety, stockpile destruction and program evaluation.
