This case study provides insights into the reintegration program of Action on Armed Violence (AOAV) in Liberia. In addition, the rationale for and reasons behind its shift into this area of work are identified. The reintegration program seeks to reduce the incidence of armed violence perpetrated by these individuals by providing them with agricultural, life and business skills, numeracy and literacy training, and psychosocial counseling to enable them to achieve a sustainable, legal livelihood within the rural sector. In conclusion, lessons learned from AOAV's experience in Liberia are provided.
