This study focuses on the employment of machines in mine clearance programs. It consists of four sub-studies: ground processing, risk assessment, area reduction and ground preparation. The publication highlights areas requiring further research and identifies roles that machines can play. The authors state that in general, machines have been underemployed. They conclude with possibilities for the improved employment of machines in mine clearance programs in the future.
