This guide provides information and advice on ways and means of effective communication in mine awareness programs. It provides mine risk education practitioners with informal but practical advice on how they can improve communication in mine risk education programs. The guide suggests that creative communication not only enhances the effectiveness of mine risk education but also of mine action as a whole. The guide is based on the UN's International Mine Action Standards.
