Defense Policy and Armaments Acquisition
As great-power rivalries intensify and revisionist actors engage in increasingly probing behaviors, military security and defense are firmly back on the political agenda of Western states. Within this theme, we identify emerging trends in military doctrine, forces development, and armaments acquisition. Here, we place particular emphasis on the impact of new technologies and respective chances and risks for small and medium powers.
